Bragançano Lamb and Folar Party

The “folar” (typical savoury pastry) and the region’s lamb are almost inseparable Easter traditions from Trás-os-Montes and so, Quinta das Covas, organizes an event devoted to these delicacies for its guests.

After the obligatory fast of Lent, nothing better than tasting the typical egg bread, which punctuates the tasty sausages such as the “chouriça”, “salpicão” and dry-cured ham. In addition to organizing an exhibition and sale of this product, you can also take part in a workshop to learn how to make the traditional “folares” (typical savoury pastries).

The “bragançano” lamb, a certified product under the DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) system, is also in abundance at the Easter table in Trás-os-Montes. In another aspect of this event, the visitor will be able to get to know the characteristics, food and the home of this indigenous breed through the animals kept at Quinta das Covas.
